Cookery Program : Tuesday 15th-Saturday 19th October 2013

We have planned a flexible program which may be subject to some change depending on preferences and external factors such as weather, but it gives you an idea of what we are offering.

Monday: Arrival, introductions, and chill out day. In the Evening we will eat out together at a local village restaurant (drinks not included).

• Late afternoon cookery sessions will commence from Tuesday-Saturday, most days from approx 17.00, depending on what needs to be prepared- with Nadir .

Tuesday: A morning introduction to the village and to our cooking hosts at the Art camp. A walk around the abandoned Greek village of Kaya koy. Visit to the local Gemiler beach or an early return to chill out, and perhaps have an optional massage with our resident professional Masseur(extra)
Late afternoon-cookery sessions at the art camp begin.

Wednesday: Optional walk with a qualified Guide: from Kayakoy to the famous beach of Olu Deniz (min of 5 people). Alternative suggested activity: Olive picking. Recipes for olive pickles/ homemade village wine tasting.

Thursday: – optional fishing boat trip (weather dependent /min of 5). Extra cost of boat-to be paid in advance at welcome meeting. Alternative-free time till cooking session to explore the area or relax.

Friday: Fethiye town: Visit to local places of interest including: Fethiye’s fantastic fruit and vegetable market,followed by a walk along the harbour. Mosaic restaurant for lunch, specializing in food from Antakya region of Turkey (extra).

Saturday 19th: Visit to Gemiler beach for light snack lunch and swim. Pm; St Nicholas Island by boat – viewing of the Byzantine and Roman ruins. Small entrance fee.
Last cooking session –Bayram festival meal (probably meat/but vegetarian option available)

Sunday 20th: Last full day and night- Meal out at Fethiye fish market, Turkish folk music at The Yuruk tent and goodbyes.
Please note: depending on arrival and departure times, we may swap this with the first evening.

Monday 21st –Breakfast and departures

The price of £750 per person half board will include:

7 nights Half board accommodation in a stone built cottage for two to three( a Turkish Breakfast and 2-3 course eve meal)
Most transport associated with organized excursions.
Translation and some Turkish words.
Tuition on five two hour cookery sessions with all ingredients and recipes provided.
(We will be eating what we have cooked for our evening meal, on five nights of the week)

Single supplement: £920

Not included: Extra’s….Drinks/ lunches/boat trip/guided walk/ massage sessions/ other entertainment/ local bus fares, entrance fees and transfer cost from Airport.
